Directions to Camp Ellis Pier in
Saco
Get off the Maine Turnpike at exit 36
(Saco exit). Go through the toll booths (no toll) and the road becomes 195 -
stay straight on 195. In about a mile or two, 195 becomes Route 5 south. As you
proceed on Route 5 south, you will see a 7-11 store straight ahead. Route 5
south curves to the left here (Old Orchard Road is on your right). You stay
STRAIGHT here, going past the 7-11 store and keeping it on your left as you go
(you are now on Temple avenue). After about a mile on Temple avenue, you will
hit an intersection with Route 9. Take a right here, onto Route 9 West. Stay
straight on Route 9 West about 2.5 miles (it runs parallel to the ocean), and
then you will come to a 4-way stop. Go straight here, onto Camp Ellis Avenue.
Camp Ellis avenue is a narrow winding road only about .3 to .4 miles long. It
brings you to two parking lots in Camp Ellis, where you can park your car for a
small fee. Walk out on the pier, and you will see the weigh in station at the
end of the pier.
